Highlighting? How do I do it?

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to highlight text on a page. Believing myself ‘slightly smarter than a post’ (!), HELP! I’m used to selecting a highlight tool then selecting text. Once I click elsewhere, c’est voila! The previously highlighted text is highlighted, i.e. visibly marked by color. (I understand that the color is hard-coded and not user-selectable at this time.) So far, I select text and…

What am I missing?

Hello Julie!

Did you enable the highlighter? Once you highlight a text, it should then show a little tooltip.
You can also use the keyboard shortcuts.
All those infos you find in the settings too, so you can also adjust which shortcuts to use or how the highlighting tooltip appears.

If that doesn’t work, can you give me more information about which system you use? Browser and Operating system?
