Extension hangs on loading animation

Vivaldi 3.1, macOS 10.15

Memex extension stalls on loading animation.

I’m able to click into settings, but get the loading animation hang when after password entry on account login. Backup settings window also hangs.

Thanks for dropping by Brandon.
Just upfront: We don’t really support Vivaldi.

nevertheless we can look into why its failing to load stuff.

go to chrome://extension (or an equivalent for vivaldi) then go to “enable developer mode” > memex > background page > console.

What do you see there when you load the dashboard? Can you clear the console before you do that so we can clearly distinguish whats coming from the load on the dashboard?

thanks!

Thanks mate, here’s what console says

Hey @Brandon_Smith

I just pushed a potential fix for this. I am not 100% sure because I can’t reproduce it but I made a change recently to code that used the “isAutomaticBackupAllowed” function.

Can you update to 2.2.3 and see if it works?
