It will be very useful if we can update the highlighted text (the actual content) just like what ReadWise.io allows.
I can see that this would be practical. Unfortunately it would complicate a lot of things.
Can you describe a use case where you need this? What kind of text do you normally wish to edit?

One use case where I would like this:
I am highlighting sentences in foreign languages which I want to create flashcards from. Usually I will choose a sentence where I know 90% of the words, but the focus might be on one or a few words. So I want to be able to edit it to put some markdown or HTML around parts of the highlight, which will be used when I later export the annotations via the copy-paster.
From the tech-side, I don’t see that many things this might complicate (apart from time of course!). What do you see?
