After restoring, trying to sync ~12K pages to iPhone fails

To get your bug fixed faster please try to answer the following questions:

  1. Which browser, operating system and versions of those are you using?
    Chrome Version 83.0.4103.116, macOS 10.15.5
    iPhone, iOS 13.5.1

  2. What are the steps you took that lead to the bug?
    I’m just testing the app. So I restored my backed up pages, and that worked.
    Then it looked like I had to re-pair my mobile device. When I did, the sync took a long time but eventually ended in failure. I tried twice, with the same error.

What are the error messages that appear at the point when it says “something went wrong”?
For that go to chrome://extensions > developer mode > memex > background page > console.

May I ask why it was necessary to do the backup/restore?

I was just testing. You know, backups should never be considered reliable in any software without testing a restore.

My trial ran out, so I can’t test right now. (I’m trying to make sure that everything will work for me reliably before I sign up for Pro)
